We usually specify combined test/drain valves that are angle pattern with integral ¾" pressure relief, installed on the pipe nipple that's immediately connected to the riser. We have a sitch where the risers are being pushed way too high above the FF by a crowded room (a tree directly over a backflow) and we need to pipe back down with the test/drain valves. We found a globe pattern valve on the web called a Rapidrop that's straight pattern - has anyone ever used this or an equivalent? We're so used to the angle-pattern TestandDrain valves that we're not really aware of the alternatives.
