I have always avoided running CPVC over fire places in 13D or R systems. I am
now confronted with a house conversion (group home) with a fire place at a 45
degree angle in the living room. Due to the wall configurations, the only
realistic way to feed one part of the house is to run over the fireplace at
ceiling level. I am not sure at this point if the pipe will be exposed or
covered with Deco Shield. Pipe will be approximately 7'-7" AFF. Is this an
issue or am I over thinking (again).
