I have a dormitory building with a common kitchen area open to a public lounge. This kitchen area is not part of sleeping unit and only contains a typical 4-burnner oven range setup. Would this area need to be considered ordinary hazard? And if so how would I define the edge of the hazard area to extend the 15'-0" beyond?
