Is cutting of lumber taking place inside? Is the building fully enclosed or open on the sides?
How tall is the building? The typical process in most truss plants is cutting and then boards get placed on roller table and truss connector plates get placed at joints. Tools are typically pneumatic. In some cases, boards may be cut in separate location and delivered to the assembly area. Wherever the cutting of lumber takes place there is also typically a dust collection system that will require internal fire suppression. Sometimes it’s part of the sprinkler contract, other times the suppression system is provided by the dust collection system vendor. I'm thinking Ordinary Group II for the density - any other thoughts? I don't see much info out there on these. ________________________________ NOTICE - This communication may contain confidential and privileged information that is for the sole use of the intended recipient.
