While doing some cross training on NFPA 72, I came across the semi-annual
requirement for testing of “Mechanical, electrosonic, or pressure-type
waterflow device(s)” I, nor any of the other sprinkler experts here knew what
an electrosonic waterflow switch was, and our alarm guys only had passing
knowledge of them. Is this something the 13 committee has ever discussed?
