I'm having pipe supported with on pipe clamp with rod from each ear into concrete insert at the ground. The piping is sitting at about 6" above the floor. Both parts of the pipe clamp are intended to be used wrapping the pipe at each support location. I'm are being asked to provided seismic bracing for this piping or reason for the omission of the bracing. Since this area has a CP valve over 0.5 I can't find any exceptions that would allow for this requirement to omitted.
