Slippery slope but if it's dead in between then it's half in each coverage area
so the "miss" per sprinkler is in fact half of it, in my opinion. At the end
of the day it's not as though that shadow area isn't getting wet, it's just not
getting .1 or .05 gpm/sq ft wet. I'd try real hard to avoid it, but I wouldn't
lose a lot of sleep over it if that was how it had to be.

Subject: [Sprinklerforum] Residential Shadow Areas

12.1.10.2.3 (19) edition was added finally to quantify a shadow area in 13.

However, I am reviewing a drawing that has 2 Residential Sidewalls at around 12
feet apart.

The shadow area is dead center between. 6x6.

Let's say the area is 16 Ft2.

As the wording says cumulative area per sprinkler, can I divide the area
between the 2?
Thereby making it 8 Ft2 per..

Matt
