Is there a code requirement for the maximum age of fire sprinklers at the time of initial installation? I had it in my head that the date of manufacture on new sprinkler heads needed to be within a year of the installation date, but now I'm wondering if that was just a common spec requirement and I just equated it to a code requirement. I haven't been able to find anything in NFPA 13 yet.
