Actually I have planned to deal with rope as I did with pyflakes
dependency: the Spyder Python(x,y) package will include rope (as an
external module) but the source package (Python package index) and of
course the debian package will not include rope as it will be clearly
specified as a required dependency.

Thanks for testing v2.0, new features are coming very soon
("Preferences" dialog box, reorganized menus and toolbars, 3rd party
plugin system, ...).
