Hi, Are you using Windows? Could you try to see if any traceback is generated by lauching Spyder from an Anaconda prompt? You can find the Anaconda prompt application by searching for it from the start menu typing 'Anaconda prompt'. To launch Spyder from the Anaconda prompt you just need to type in it 'spyder'. If that doesn't give more info check that you have at least Spyder 5.2.2 installed and if that is not the case then update. Let us know if the info above helps.
