announce that Spyder 5.5.5 has been released and is available for Windows, 
GNU/Linux and MacOS X: https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/releases

This release comes nine weeks after version 5.5.4 and it contains the 
following important fixes:

   - Fix to ensure compatibility with *matplotlib* 3.9.0.
   - Fix kernel start when connection file has spaces in its path.
   - Improve compatibility with PySide2.
   - Handle no output/error output when checking for updates on conda 
   installations.
   - Fix installers update validation logic to choose installer executable 
   name to download/use.
   - Update macOS installer workflow to macOS 12 and constraint installer 
   dependencies to prevent errors (*setuptools<70.0.0*, *zipp<3.19*).

In this release we fixed 5 issues and merged 11 pull requests. For a full
