> One downside: how many support customers can Dieter service before it > takes 25 hours a day..
That's a business question rather than an accounting question. The answer is that Dieter will have his support rate set at a rate where the support fees at that level will pay for his hiring help. If he doesn't provide sufficient service, someone else will offer support. We also know that Dieter won't get bored, as his support requests should be interesting ones. Businesses will use local accountants for accounting issues. Trivial and often-asked questions will irritate this list only until they get in the FAQ or someone offers code to clarify whatever the issue is. We in this list help ensure that there aren't unrepaired bugs -- thus preventing providers of support from making money by simply hiring monkeys with scripts to answer the same questions all day while charging outrageous rates. Obviously Dieter doesn't need an array of monkeys, or we'd be seeing form letters emanating from SL HQ. ------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: ThinkGeek at http://www.ThinkGeek.com/ _______________________________________________ sub/unsub https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sql-ledger-users Archive http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
