I have just upgraded a test site to 1.8.4 from 1.8.3 and following the instructions I tried to update the dataset from the admin.pl screen. I got the error message below. What do I do to get around this? I tried using postgres as the default suggested and also tried using the superuser that I created when I originally installed SL with the proper password.....same result on either.
Error! fe_sendauth: no password supplied I also tried using the psql command line instructions that Dieter cited in a previous posting. It seemed to work but when I tried to log on as a user the error message returned. When I installed the 1.8.4 update did I need to reset up my user's some way? The admin.pl seems to be fine and recognized my previously set up superuser and my password. It immediately found the dataset template that I had left from 1.8.3 and indicated that it needed to be upgraded. Any advice is appreciated. -- John Foster
