If you need end-user support beyond what is gained from the mailinglist and other public sources I very much recommend you ask Dieter for help (yes, he makes a living helping out, and will probably respond quickly if you make it clear to him that you are willing to pay him for his expertice). I have no "obvious hints" about your problem, apart from what has been discussed from time to time on the mailinglist and/or authentication stuff documented in the Postgres papers. If you are desperate we could probably arrange something (send me your data or allow me terminal access to your machine to fumble around) but I would charge you for the time and then others (read: Dieter) is probably a much better choice than me.
