Yeah. You'll definately want to review their business procedure for
the POS transaction. Then what you do is customize a module for that
procedure. For example... does your client want this POS app to hook
into an existing accounting system? 

There's a couple modifications you'll want to add in. For example,
ripping out the javascript code from google.com that puts the cursor
onto the first input field. This allows the cash register person to
quickly type in codes and press enter (which automatically "updates").
Same with barcodes. 

Then, do a homepage that links directly to the POS screen. 

Like I said. I can put a copy of the modifications I made for this
business -- if you *really* want it. It's crusty, and uses the 1.6.x
stuff. The POS module was cobbled together by combining the customer
search and inventory sent (invoice) modules together. 

Your app will look very different, because you'll want to have
seperate accounts for each of the sales people, password protected,
and something that allows them to look up items, enter them in, and
automatically figures out commissions.
