Another point to consider is to allow search ranges (e.g between matthew and
John) etc.

Also (And I did ask this before and got no reply) what DB are you using - Is
it Access or SQL server???

cheers

Subject: Search DB

ok so all's well that ends well or something similar, except that it's
not...

I of course want to let users search the db.. but I want to let them narrow
it down only as far as they want to... so if they wall all the verses in
Romans 8, let them have it..

<cfquery name='searchbible' datasource='thebible'>
Select
    Book, chapter, verse, textdata from #table# (kjv or AmericanStandard)
Where
    Book='#book#' and Chapter='#chapter#' and verse='#verse#'
</cfquery>

<cfoutput>
.....
</cfoutput>

The problem is that if I specify book, chapter, and verse, it nails it, but
if i don't specify any one of them, it errors out.. and i don't even know
how to go about searching textdata for a word or phrase..

Help?
