Hi all,

I am trying to set up our development box (Small Business Server 2000)
so that I can log into SQL Server remotely, using Enterprise Manager.
The problem I have is that the server is set to only allow users to be
created using Windows NT security. If I change the settings in the
Security tab of the SQL Server properties dialog in the SQL Servers MMC
snap in to say "SQL Server and Windows", it accepts the changes but when
I go back in it is still set to "Windows Only". I can create a user with
an SQL Server Authentication username and password, but when I attempt
to log in using Enterprise Manager from a machine not on our network, it
tells me that it can't log in because the user is not associated with a
trusted connection.

Could this possibly be a "feature" of Small Business Server? I didn't
have this problem previously on a SQL Server 7 install on NT4.

Any help greatly appreciated,
Kay.
