Just a thought, how many records are you trying to snag? Have you tried to grab just a few as a process of elimination: SELECT top 50* just to see if it's crapping out on the shear number of recs? I run into similar things when I have a table with massive amounts of data, just doesn't any records for me though. My 2 cents worth
