Firstly I'd warn you that DTS is ugly and picky and illogical.

Secondly, have you tried running it manually from multiple machines? I think
you'll find it doesn't work. When you run it manually through EM, it runs it on
your machine, not on the server (as best I understand it). But when you run it
on the server, it may not have database registrations with the same names etc as
on your machine, so it fails when it tries to connect to them.

I'd advise either constructing the DTS package from the same physical machine
that SQL runs on, or setting up registrations with the same details on the SQL
machine as on your local machine. Otherwise testing is tricky.
