The query couldn't be simpler: I was using "select * from settings"
(w/o quotes) to test. This was the same query in the CF template, btw.
It turned out to be a permissions problem. The database I was trying
to work with was a legacy copy on my local server from a previous
install of sql server. After messing with this for a couple hours and
finally realizing the problem seemed to be permissions related, I
hooked up to the remote server on the client's host and exported a
copy of the data to my local machine. I did this because I couldn't
figure out how to change the ownership properties for all of the
tables at once and I was too lazy to go thru and change each one
(besides, I have a more current copy of the data to play with). Things
seem to be working well now.
I appreciate your assistance Jeffry. All seems well for the mo'.
Cheers.
