The problem is, we had to send the tape to a data recovery place in Oklahoma because the first 2 local places were not even able to read the tape. It was a specialized tape backed up using a version of veritas that is apparently not very common.
We got the data recovered onto hard disk. So that is what we're working with. A messy situation.
