Thanks for that info -its about the most encouraging news I've had for
weeks. I can't find out where to set up a new DTS task though. All I can
find is something called Execute DTS 2000 Package Task. That's fine as long
as all I want to do is run a DTS task that I created on my old SQL2K
databases, and as soon as I make any changes to my databases they'll break.

I need to create the new equivalent, and Books On Line says that DTS is not
supported in SQLServer2005, and has been replaced with Microsoft SQL Server
2005 Integration Services (SSIS) - a platform for building high performance
data integration solutions, including extraction, transformation, and load
(ETL) packages for data warehousing.

The only problem with that is ... I haven't got a clue how to make it
replace the contents of table tMyTable on one server with the contents of
tMyTable on another, to do so on a series of tables, and do so
automatically.

Both my hosting provider and I are now using SQLServer2005.

If you can either show me how to do what I'm trying to do, or point me to an
easy-to-understand resource (and most Microsoft Documentation doesn't fit
into that category in my opinion) then I'll be eternally grateful!

And shouldn't you be changing your email address to TeamAbodian or
something?

Cheers

Who doesn't support DTS? the host ot SQL Server 2005? I can assure you the
latter does indeed but you cannot created or edit a DTS created on a SQL 2K
server from 2005 Management Studio.

Are both your host and yourself / dev on 2005?
