Subject: Command to suppress primary key while you populate table?

In my table creation script, I'm doing a bunch of inserts as well, to
populate the table. I also want to manually specify the primary key,
because I need to make sure it jives with another table I'm creating.

Isn't there something I can turn "off", do my inserts, then turn back "on"??
