I used a shell script, some python for a little clean up of the text files, pandoc to convert everything from text to latex (thanks to Arnar for that hint), a nice template in latex and latex to create pdf. And a very nasty mixture of windows and linux systems by the way ;-)
Lately I created a PDF by converting the HTML file to PDF using htmldoc. The result also isn't bad and it does not require any fancy workflow. Andreas
