the adodbapi dialect is not supported in current versions of SQLAlchemy;
see the note at
http://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/rel_1_0/dialects/mssql.html#module-sqlalchemy.dialects.mssql.adodbapi.
Dialects that work well with SQL Server are pyodbc and pymssql.
