No. Web-based forums are terrible. I prefer mailing lists. I can filter the posts, sort them, search through them, archive them, forward them to a friend, &c. The same experience **can't be replicated** on a web-based forum. Also the styling is terrible.
At the very least I'd love a feature where I could subscribe to the forum and interact with the forum in the same way I would with mailing lists.
