gui is completely irrelevant to sqlite :)
gui could be a part of another separate application that could be used
as a tool in managing sqlite databases or something like this, but
sqlite itself doesn't need it in no way.
ps. Is your dissertation about that command line access tool ("sqlite")
that's comes with sqlite's distribution??
