[sqlite] fts1 and word boundary

i have an fts1 table populated with, errr, text.
lets say one field has this text "big monster".

this sql query: text match 'ter' doesn't return this item. if i do a text
match 'monster' i do get this item.

does fts1 support this behavior i need ?
