hi-

i never had to do serious import/export.
if a blob happens to be a document like a microsoft word document i
have trouble visualizing where the document goes when it gets exported
from the sqlite table. i saw the maestro and data wizard with its
blob export command. when i think of export in my mind it looks like
output csv ( i think) "data1","23.25","whatever"
so i wonder where does the blob end up on the file system when it is
exported? is it in a separate location from a csv file? maybe in a
folder containg all the blob objects in the db?

the reason i ask is i am trying to think about choice of tools and
migrations if i switch developer tools down the road. so if i switch
from db brand A how do i get the blob out of A and into db brand B.

i think without a data tool it requires programming code. that is more
than i want to get into at the moment but i am just getting a general overview.

thanks for any help,
jim
