I tried to use an older version of the sqlite3 executable on Mac OS X with a data file from a newer version. No joy resulted.
Looking at http://www.sqlite.org/changes.html, I do not see any notes about whether any version breaks binary compatibility with any older version.
Should it just be assumed that any version change breaks all binary compatibility with earlier versions? Is this done deliberately? Or is there somewhere else that issues relating to binary compatibility of data files between versions is documented?
