[sqlite] unicode() and char() functions does not exists

Hi,
I'm tring this:

    select unicode('2') as a;
and

    select char(50)

but firefox.sqlite_manager (sqlite 3.7) and others say:"no such 
function: unicode".

Where I'm wrong?
