have you tried using one of the ActiveX wrappers? I know it's not ODBC/ADO, but my wrapper (http://www.terrainformatica.com/sqlitedb) has at least an ADO-compatible interface, so that might help. I didn't want to write a full-blown ADO provider because this is the beauty of sqlite: you can have a whole database engine by delivering a single file to the client.
