Jim, I am using 3.5.6 (using the amalgamation... see the instructions I put on the SQLite wiki) and that worked well for me on both a Mac Leopard and a RHEL ES3 box. I see no reason to upgrade to 3.5.7 yet. That said, I also not working with 64 bit system.
