In the new "one JAR fits all" distribution, is there a way to
programmatically know if a native version was found and is in use or
if it is running "pure"?
Extra bonus if it can be told from a generic Connection object with no
specific knowledge of SQLiteJDBC classes ;-)

I guess some benchmarking would tell it, but wouldn't be nice or easy
to implement efficiently…
