Allow specification of Avro schema for import and export

Currently the Avro schema is inferred from the database schema. It should be
possible for the user to specify an Avro schema, so that there is more control
over the import or export process. For example, it would be possible to use a
projection schema to export a subset of fields from a set of Avro data files
into the database.
