LMS does not decode the HDCD bit per default ? Maybe there was a plugin way back , but actually it does not do that originally ? Is this some vortexbox addition , if you keep the volume at 100% a squeezebox outputs the same bits that are in the file and the HDCD information should be preserved . Maybe the ripping software vortexbox uses decode HDCD to something else like a 24 bit word ? Rip with EAC or dBpower amp do not use any HDCD decoding and try ?
