Good question. I just tried the various UI that I have access to. Problem seems mostly with Squeeze Ctrl on Android. Web UI seems better. Squeezeplay on Windows also seems fine. Maybe it's more of an issue with Squeeze Ctrl.
Don't know how this app handles the updates. But if it's polling the server, rather than subscribing, then there will always be a certain delay. Worst case the maximum polling interval.
Don't know if it's in any way related, but SSOTS server log has this: Async::HTTP: Unable to load IO::Socket::SSL, will try connecting to SSL servers in non-SSL mode Since there is no time stamp, I don't know when that record came about.
That's unrelated. But still worth trying to install that module on your system, as more and more online streams require https.
