Allright, I checked the traffic in my browsers Network log when allowing Flash to be loaded, and I saw no .swf files being loaded when opening Settings or looking a bit around in settings. I have never worked with Flash or other browser plugins, but probably there's a way you can check for support without actually loading any Flash content, and such a check somewhere might trigger my Firefox (configured to "Ask to Activate" for Flash plugin) to ask? Anyway, seems to be a non-issue :-)
