Hi. I came back with some more information. But first, let me try to answer your questions:
I am not familiar with the "As an aside I wonder if anyone ever did an inotify-based rescan trigger plugin" issue/question. I looked up iotify based scan for Linux but that didn't help me much. So I'm guessing the answer is no. As for storage, assuming you mean the actual physical location of the library, it is on a separate hard drive in a media server I built. I have multiple back ups - one on a drive which is always connected to the server; others which I plug in time to time - these are portable drives which I can take with me in case of any problems (such as a recent hurricane). As far as the scan which doesn't seem to end - I began a scan manually from the command line and it seems the scanner catches on at least one file - in this case it is [17-10-22 12:57:49.0681] Slim::Utils::Scanner::Local::deleted (828) Handling deleted file file:///mnt/MUSIC1/CDs/CDs%20Added%202012?CDs.Added.Sept.2012/Rival%20Sons%20-%20Head%20Down/09%20-%20Three%20Fingers%20-%20Rival%20Sons.mp3 This is repeated again and again and, in fact, has been repeating for 13 minutes + . I'm guessing it would be a good idea to attach scanner logs .. so I pasted some of the recent scanner log to pastebin as I can't find the place to attach a text file for this post. Here is the link to the pastebin/server logs: https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/25795409/ Thanks for your help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gmachine_24's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3999 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108173 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
