But he is kinda vague on the details of which app was used. The OP in this thread had the issue with files produced by the 'Max' app on macOS. I did suspect that max probably uses ffmpeg for conversions but looking at the website it says it uses core audio for alac. Maybe an older build used ffmpeg?
