Maybe my phone tried to connect to LMS. I definitively did not try to
play music while I was sleeping. ;) Please forgive my ignorance, but
what's an "otoh"?
I did install LMS on my desktop computer (Windows 10 Pro x64) a while
back (Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1519287262 @ Thu Feb 22
09:30:01 WEST 2018). So I tested it here, too. The music library on the
hard disk contains three albums:
One is a "normal" album, no Cyrillic whatsoever.
One is the aforementioned Tchaikovsky album. Some Cyrillic tags (title
and movement), the path and filenames are in Latin.
One is a Cyrillic album. Cyrillic tags, Cyrillic path and filenames.
I found out that
- The Cyrillic path is ignored in the scan. It is also invisible in
Home > Music Folder. It doesn't even show up in the scanner.log (debug
level logging for scan.*)
- The search in the WebUI does not start searching while I type (This
behavior changes as soon as I connect a player to this server.) If I
click enter or hit the search button, the search is performed in the
other search below, but here it gets the results I would expect (with
the exception that here, too, the search is case sensitive).
- Now with a connected player, I get the same popup as with my regular
server. Clicking on "Album..." in the popup yields the same result:
"Items 1 to 1 of 1" with nothing there to see. It looks as if it
thinks it is showing something, because this "Items 1 to 1 of 1" is
"pulled" from the place where it is supposed to be at the bottom (see
attachment). Clicking on "Title..." on the other hand shows the track
I was looking for. Down below it reads "Items 1 to 1 of 1", where it
should be.
