I get what the OP was stating, I have my setup working the same as my server (LMS) is in my garage. I run 6 Touch and 1 Classic that's on the patio. I also have a Pioneer N50 that can use the LMS. Inside of my home most of the touch's are wireless, the family room is the only one that is hard wire (ethernet) along with the N50. As long as your whole system is running on the same network there shouldn't be any issues.
