Just installed LMS 7.9.1 on my 2012 Mac Pro and when I click Start
Server it says starting then it stops. None of the other tabs are active
so I can't log in or update the library folders. Can't scan the logs.
I recently had to reinstall the OS and restore from a Time Machine
backup, which is when LMS disappeared. Not sure what version I was
running before.

That's likely a permissions issue on some folder. What macOS are you using?

You could give this script to fix the permissions a try:

Download, unzip, run. It'll ask you for your password, as it's going to change permissions on a folder you might not have access to (~/Library/Logs/Squeezebox).
