In Finder doing: Go, Go to folder and pasting that line "/Volumes/Music/Marriner & The Academy - 20th Century Classics/75 - Adagio For Strings, Op.11.flac" takes me promptly to the file so it seems that this is indeed a valid path!?
Hmm.... if it can play the file, then it certainly should be able to show the artwork. I'm running out of ideas. Would they show again if you re-created the favorite?
