LMS performs conversions on the fly when it determines that the format of the original file can not or should not be sent to the player in its current format. Giving it the option to convert from wav to mp3 might get it to play on your player. I don't remember if the player in pCP should be able to handle wav by itself but this might give the opportunity to sidestep that question and get things working for you. After it is working ... it can be optimised.
