I have three copies of my music. Two on hard drives and one on a 256GB thumb drive. I was using one of the hard drives. I switched to the thumb drive and I no longer have duplicates. Both the thumb drive and the SATA drive have the same number of files on them. I have no idea why this solved the issue, but I'm good to go.
