As I understand it LMS 7.9.4 is now just getting maintenance fixes.

My question is whether, in the long term, LMS 8 will be the only version
being maintained.

The reason I'm asking is because some plugins have not been, and may
never be, fully tested under version 8, and I'm wondering whether to
take the plunge soon and try to fix or bypass any issues that come up,
or not. I don't think I 'need' any of the new LMS 8 features, as yet.

I would like to note that it's amazing that LMS has lasted as long as it
has out of the hands of Logitech. I am most grateful to Michael and the
many plugin maintainers for all the work that they have done and still
do. This includes some who have taken over maintenance of plugins that
the originator has stopped supporting.
