That's why I was wondering about slimserver.pl's head: it should explicitely refer to perl5.18
confirm this is the problem? And how do I proceed with uninstalling and installing Perl?
Don't mess with the installation. It should work as it is. Let's try to understand what the issue remaining is (see my previous response).
