As of today, it doesn't. However, LMS isn't picking up any updates and http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download still appears to serve the same version 8.1.0. So I'm not surprised nothing has changed. Do I need to do something manually to force an update?
Oh, 8.1.0 is a release. It won't be updated. You either wait until the next release is ready, or you get a nightly build from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.1. It should be stable, only has some bug fixes in addition to 8.1.0
