This may be caused by (on original set up) my moving my User files from
the Macintosh HD (512 GB SSD) to a permanently connected Samsung T7 (1
TB SSD) in order to keep bulky music and photo files away from the OS
and Apps. I hope that I have not gone beyond what is permissible using
LMS.
Please don't move too many parts at the same time... it can get confusing.
Moving your home out of the main disk might indeed confuse LMS. You
might need to re-install it to pick up the new home, as it's using that
folder for log files, caches etc.
I personally would not move the home folder on an external disk. Unplug
it (willingly or not), and you'll be in trouble trying use the system.
You can always move the really bulky folders out of your home (I've done
that for photos, too).
